If you are a fan of rosé wines or are simply looking for a lighter alternative to heavy tannin red wines, this rosé will charm you. It is made from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes grown in Izba Kaliakra's own vineyards. The grapes are hand-picked when they reach optimal ripeness and sugar content. Rosé wine is produced using a technology similar to that for white wine production - at a certain point, the juice is separated from the crushed grapes in order to limit the passage of tannins and dyes from the skin into the future wine. The exact moment of separation largely determines the color, aroma and taste of the rosé.
